Peres Center in UAE "promoting regional partnerships and Israeli innovation"

Last week a delegation from the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, led by Chemi Peres, arrived in the United Arab Emirates. The delegation included "senior Israeli innovation and economic leaders such as Jonathan Kolber, Yossi Goldshmidt (Deputy CEO, Adama), Zvi Yemini, Sagive Greenspan (General Manager, Finastra Israel), Orna Shastovitz, Reuven Schiff, Gad Zeevi and Dorit Dor (VP Products, Check Point)," according to a statement.


It was one of many important delegations during the week of December 6 as thousands of Israelis arrived in Dubai for GITEX, for tourism and other events. Israeli mayors arrived, and a new memorandum with the Crossroad of Civilizations museum was signed.


“I am delighted to head this Peres Center for Peace and Innovation delegation to the United Arab Emirates. The center has been leading cross-border collaborations in entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership and peace for over 20 years. I am confident that through building ties with the Gulf states, we can develop projects and partnerships which will create a better future for our region," said Chemi Peres, Chairman of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation.


The full statement from the Peres Center is posted below: A delegation from the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation travelled today to the United Arab Emirates, headed by the Center’s Chairman Chemi Peres. The delegation will meet with Emirati leaders and officials, in order to expand cooperation between the Peres Center and the Emirates in the areas of sports, education and medicine. They will also explore the possibility of establishing an Innovation Center in the Emirates.


During the visit, the Center’s chairman, Chemi Peres, will meet with government officials and leading figures in investment, finance, innovation and tech. He will also speak at a gala evening organized by Bank Hapoalim and the Israel Export Institute.


The delegation includes senior Israeli innovation and economic leaders, such as Jonathan Kolber and Zvi Yemini, CEOs from partner companies of the Innovation Center at the Peres Center (Orbotech, Adama, Finastra, Check Point and DSV). Members of the delegation also include Director General of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, Efrat Duvdevani, founder and director of the Peres Friends Circle, Yona Bartal and members of the Board of Directors at the Peres Center, Prof. Tsvia Walden, Manuela Dviri and Dr. Nof Atamna-Ismaeel.
