GISEC, which is considered "the most influential and connected cybersecurity event for the Arab world" will take place from May 31 to June 2, 2021 at Dubai World Trade Centre. Israeli companies are expected to take part, as they have at GITEX and IDEX and other important events in the UAE.
The event is expected to bring together global brands and government experts on cyber security. This will also involve key decision makers from the Gulf and other countries. A press release notes that "During the conference, a special day will be dedicated to information security cooperation between Israel and the UAE, which will hear from senior officials from the two countries."
GISEC Global is represented in Israel by MEA Consulting, which provides marketing consulting and business development services to promote business activity between Israel and the UAE. They notes "GISEC is strategically organized in close collaboration with the UAE's most influential cyber entities to curate and prioritise cybersecurity agendas of the region, including Dubai Electronic Security Centre, Dubai Police, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), Smart Dubai, Investment Corporation of Dubai, ADNOC Refining, aeCERT and Spire Solutions."
This means that the event is a major opportunity for Israeli companies that are already leaders in cyber security and cyber solutions. The statement notes that Israelis will have a change to meet "information security executives in various government entities as well as businesses from the UAE and other Gulf and Arab countries, and Africa and India. The conference will feature hundreds of workshops and professional lectures by leading international influential key players in the cyber industry as well as tailor made match making business meetings with technology buyers."
It also points to the GITEX events last year when two Israeli companies won a prize of $10,000 each as part of the GITEX Future Stars SuperNova Challenge for startups.
