Israel and UAE do first "virtual tourism meet"

The meeting was part of a WTM Virtual event and included the tourism ministers of the Abraham Accords countries. Attendees included Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, the UAE’s minister of state for entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises; and H.E. Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani, Bahrain’s minister of industry, commerce and tourism and Orit Farkash-Hacohen, Israel’s Minister of Tourism. The panel was part of a larger event from November 9 to 11. It was a "momentous discussion" according to reports.

"For the first time since the signing of the Abraham Accords agreements, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain’s top tourism officials came together virtually to discuss new travel and business opportunities between the three countries," Maya Margit at The Media Line wrote on November 11.
